325 Mushroom coloured glass blocks were commissioned by architectural product manufacturers, Axolotl, Sydney, for installation as a design feature in a banquette in a private residence.
The Glassworks team was asked to create a custom ‘mushroom’ coloured glass block. The team formulated special blend of custom transparent amber/brown glass which was melted in the pot furnace and hand-ladled into a custom-made graphite mould. The blocks are now a stunning design feature of the banquette which borders and accentuates the curved custom timber joinery.
