Leave a gift in your Will
Help artists keep making for generations to come
A gift in your Will, also known as a bequest, is a lasting way to support Canberra Glassworks and the artists who will work here in the future.
For many people, a gift in a Will makes it possible to provide a level of support that may not have been possible during their lifetime.
We understand that family and loved ones come first. After providing for the people important to you, you may wish to consider including Canberra Glassworks as part of your estate.
Your gift, whatever its size, can help ensure future generations of artists continue to have access to specialist facilities, skills, knowledge and opportunities to make ambitious work.
How to leave a gift
There are several ways you can include Canberra Glassworks in your Will. You might choose to leave:
- a percentage of your estate, allowing your gift to remain proportionate to the value of your estate
- the residue of your estate, or a percentage of the residue, after other gifts and expenses have been provided for
- a specific amount of money
We recommend discussing your intentions with your solicitor or legal adviser to make sure your Will reflects your wishes.
Suggested wording
The following wording may be useful as a starting point for discussion with your solicitor:
“I give [the whole / % / the sum of $] of my estate to Canberra Glassworks Limited, ABN 22 120 881 898, for its general charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of an authorised officer of Canberra Glassworks Limited shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executor.”
