Artist Studio Assistant (Short-Term Contract - Independent Contractor)
Canberra Glassworks, in partnership with artist Erin Dickson, is seeking a motivated Artist Studio Assistant to support the development and delivery of the exhibition Funny Peculiar, Not Funny ‘Ha Ha’. This short-term contract offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the artist across both her Bungendore studio and during her residency at Canberra Glassworks.
The Artist Studio Assistant will provide hands-on support across all stages of production, contributing to a complex, multi-media installation. This role is suited to an emerging or early-career artist or maker who is keen to expand their skills within a professional studio environment. Must have own transport and own public liability insurance.
Hours: Short-term (project-based) 2 to 3 days a week with some flexibility with timing. 152 hours total between commencing ASAP
Pay: $40.00 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) + 12% super

Gallery Shop Casual Staff
Join our pool of casual staff in our beautiful Gallery Shop. If you have retail experience, great customer service skill and love working with beautiful hand made objects, drop us an email with a covering letter and your CV. We are always looking for reliable people for busy periods, especially weekends.
The Gallery Shop is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. We pay award rates under the General Retail Award.

Fabricating Glass Artists
We contract experienced glass artists to assist our team to deliver special projects and commissions on a job-by-job basis. If you are interested in joining our pool of contractors drop us an email outlining your skills and previous work. Contractors must have an ABN and Public Liability Insurance.
Please email our Artistic Programs Coordinator a brief expression of interest outlining your skills and the type of work you are interested in, and a copy of your CV.
Teaching Artists
We contract experienced glass artists to assist our team to teach classes and run tours as part of our public programs. If you are interested in joining our pool of teaching artists drop us an email outlining your skills and previous work.
Contracted teaching artists must have
- an ABN
- Public Liability Insurance
- current ACT Working With Vulnerable People Registration.
