Important: Rescheduling and Cancellation policy
Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 5 days before the scheduled workshop, or 2 days in advance for Make Your Own workshops. To make changes, contact the Public Programs team at wendy.dawes@canberraglassworks.com
Due to overhead costs and limited enrolment numbers, all workshop and short course bookings are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for store credit. In exceptional cases where a refund is approved, a booking fee will still apply.
COVID-19 Policy
Please be aware that during this activity you will be in close proximity to other people and some equipment will be shared among participants. Canberra Glassworks maintains rigorous cleaning and sanitation practices of all equipment is carefully attended to. Wherever possible, we ask that you practice social distancing during the duration of the activity.

Requirements and Materials
In most cases tools and materials (and safety equipment, if required) are provided. In some workshops you may wish to purchase additional materials and will be notified of this at the time of booking.
All participants MUST wear closed toed shoes and non-synthetic clothing whilst in the workshop. Long hair must be tied back and loose jewellery such as long necklaces or scarves removed. Please do not wear contact lenses, bring your prescription glasses. Please note that you may be using materials that can stain clothes.
Please bring a drinking bottle with you and keep hydrated throughout the workshop. For full day or two-day workshops you are welcome to use the kitchenette in the Engine Room. It has a fridge, a microwave oven and an electric kettle. This is a shared space so please clean up after yourself.
Experience Level
No prior experience is required for majority of our Public Programs. All “Continuing” workshops will require recent completion of the corresponding “Beginning” workshop.
Our Public Programs
Workshops are suitable for participants aged 16 and over, with the exception of our School Holiday program. Canberra Glassworks strives to provide an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all participants. If you have any special requirements please get in touch before booking so we can accommodate you as best we can.

The Building
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to your workshop to register at reception in the Gallery Shop. There is plenty of free weekend parking around the Glassworks. Parts of our heritage listed building are wheelchair accessible, however if you do require wheelchair access, please contact us ahead of time so we can confirm there is suitable access to your workshop area and required equipment.
It gets hot at Canberra Glassworks! Please be aware that the Hotshop floor can reach high temperatures and keep this in mind when you are booking a glass blowing workshop. Please contact us ahead of booking if you have any concerns.
Refunds

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers for classes and short courses can be purchased online and are redeemable within three years. Vouchers are issued digitally and can be used when making a booking online or over-the-phone.
Vouchers cannot be refunded.
Course Cancellations
Canberra Glassworks may decide to cancel a workshop 48 hours prior to the event that if minimum numbers are not reached. In the event of Canberra Glassworks cancelling a workshop a full refund or voucher is offered.
Collection Policy
The items created during your workshop will need to cool down slowly in an annealing kiln. You will be advised when you can collect your work by your teaching artist. As a general guide items will be available for collection approximately 2 weeks after class ends. Postage of your item can be arranged at an additional cost.
