Over the past 25 years, established glass artist, Gabriella Bisetto has developed a sculptural practice that explores organic and visceral objects. Drawing inspiration from the shapes and structures found within the human body, she considers the connection between the human body and the act of blowing glass.

Gabriella Bisetto’s work explores the profound connection between the human body and breath through the physical act of blowing glass. Her approach is founded in the intimate act of breathing, where each exhalation not only shapes molten glass but also serves as a metaphor for the delicate and transient nature of life. Through this process, she transforms a single breath into tangible, abstract forms, capturing the essence of human fragility and making visible the invisible forces that sustain us.

Over the past 25 years, Bisetto has developed a sculptural practice that explores organic and visceral objects, drawing inspiration from the shapes and structures found within the human body that sustain us. These forms resonate with the universal experiences of life, growth, and decay. The materiality of glass, with its inherent fragility and transparency supports the themes of vulnerability and impermanence that are central to her work.
