Based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country (Canberra ACT), Hannah Gason is a mid-career glass artist and Glassworks Studio Tenant specialising in kiln formed and cold worked glass.

 

Hannah’s practice is an exploration of light and perception and is interested in subtle shifts of colour, repeating patterns and contrasts between flatness and depth that occur around changes in light. Since graduating from the ANU School of Art in 2015, Hannah has been working from her studio at the Canberra Glassworks. She has exhibited at Sydney Contemporary, plus held solo exhibitions at the Canberra Glassworks and Drill Hall Gallery. She has been commissioned to create large-scale works such as Canberra Centre Floriade commission, Design Canberra ground mural. Her glass work was also included in the 2020 Enlighten Festival with a light projection on Parliament House.
