The House Star is a limited-edition collectable ornament commissioned by the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House in collaboration with Canberra Glassworks. This kiln formed festive ornament is designed and fabricated by glass artist, Hannah Gason, and features the 7-point Commonwealth Star. Six of the star’s points represent the Australian states and the seventh point represents the territories.
2024 House Star
Returning by popular demand, the 2024 ornament is a transparent pine green glass inspired by the colours of the House of Representatives chamber. Limited edition of 100.
2023 House Star
The first of this new series, the 2023 ornament is a opaque white and editioned in 200 pieces.
