Through the Window
Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre + Jordan Benson
showing 14 May to 26 July 2026
Main Gallery | Curated by Aimee Frodsham and Marisa Maher
This exhibition brings together the artists of Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre (Mparntwe/Alice Springs, NT) and Jordan Benson (Naarm/Melbourne VIC) in a dialogue of tradition and innovation.
This exhibition celebrates the enduring watercolour legacy of Albert Namatjira by Western Aranda artists from Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre; Mona Lisa Clements, Vanessa Inkamala, Kathy Inkamala, Dellina Inkamala, Dianne Inkamala, Carita Coulthard, Mandy Malbunka, Raelene Inkamala, and Elton Wirri, alongside new works by artist Jordan Benson, who brings contemporary themes to traditional stained glass techniques.
Together, they explore light, colour, and transparency, sharing skills and stories across mediums to offer fresh perspectives that honours culture while engaging with the present. Expanding on their collaboration for the 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial: After the Rain at the National Gallery of Ausralia, this exhibition deepens the dialogue between their practices.
Exhibition in partnership with Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre and GLAAS Inc, with support from Wissmach Glass Co.
