Jordan Benson

Jordan Benson is a stained glass and oil painting artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). His work reflects both scenes and objects from his experiences living in Melbourne and the environments that surround him and his roots in graffiti art. Having graduated from Melbourne Polytechnic in 2022, Jordan intends to further develop his practice at the Glassworks by expanding into processes such as kiln forming to create new body of work.
“My aim is to create a series of works that challenge the viewers perception of utilitarian objects that are so mass produced they hold little to no value and are often discarded, repurposed, or destroyed without a second thought. However, when depicted in glass these objects adopt a state of fragility and elevated value.”
