Waste Glass Reimagined

Waste Glass Reimagined

Matthew Curtis + Canberra Glassworks

In collaboration with artist Matthew Curtis, Canberra Glassworks is leading the way in sustainable glass design. Based in Canberra, this service enables designers to specify custom products made entirely from recycled windows, balustrades, TV screens and architectural panels.

Canberra Glassworks offers architects, designers, and specifiers the opportunity to work with this material to create unique glass finishes, including:

    • tiles and bricks,
    • lighting,
    • public artworks,
    • windows, screens and partition walls.

Architects and builders can play a significant role in promoting sustainable building practices and reducing the industry’s ecological footprint. These products not only showcase innovation but also contribute to a more environmentally conscious and responsible approach to architecture, construction, and glass manufacturing.

Green Design Show

In 2025, Canberra Glassworks are excited to announce that they will be exhibiting at the upcoming Green Design Show in Melbourne. With an emphasis on celebrating sustainable materials, the exhibit will present Glassworks new design and fabrication service that uses waste glass as architectural features and functional objects.
