Artist in Residence 2024
Based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country (Canberra) Elliot Bastianon is a designer and artist working in commercial furniture, sculpture and research driven projects.
Working with a variety of materials, Elliot established his furniture company, Furnished Forever, in 2017 and is currently undertaking a PhD in Visual Arts at the Australian National University.
In collaboration with Canberra Glassworks, Elliot will use this residency to develop works to be shown at Melbourne Design Fair in 2025.
“I am excited to be exploring cast and pressed glass processes at the Glassworks. It is my intention to develop ways of incorporating these explorations into my lighting and sculpture practice with their team.”
