Following the successful launch of the program in 2026, Canberra Glassworks is now seeking applications for the second intake of its Early Career Employment Program.

This two-year, paid employment program supports early-career practitioners to build practical skills, professional experience and long-term career pathways within one of Australia’s leading contemporary glass organisations. Working alongside experienced artists and arts professionals, participants gain hands-on experience across key operational areas while contributing to the delivery of Canberra Glassworks’ artistic, educational and public programs.

Three positions available across public programs, technical, and commissions for two-year fixed-term, 4 days per week. Starting wage $52,245.44 pro rata ($41,796.35 per year) aligned to the Amusement Award. See below for position decriptions and above for information kit.

This program is distinct from the Canberra Glassworks Graduate in Residence program. It is a paid employment opportunity focused on developing workplace skills and career pathways within the organisation, rather than an artist residency.
