New Graduate 2024
The New Graduates program is for artists who have recently graduated university, TAFE or other training programs and achieved significant recognition for their technical and artistic work during their studies.
Originally from the ACT and Glassworks community, Carman Skeehan is an emerging glass artist based at JamFactory in Tarntanya (Adelaide, SA).
She graduated from ANU School of Art & Design in 2018 and the JamFactory Associate Program in 2023. In 2024, Carman exhibited as an emerging finalist in the 2024 FUSE Glass Prize in Adelaide.
“Over the month, I will be working in glass blowing, cold working, and flameworking, aiming to create detailed glass artworks and find my own narrative within my art practice. I’m excited to further develop my still life artworks using enamel paint with blown glass. Additionally, I will be expanding my production range into glass jewelry and look forward to reconnecting with the Glassworks community.”
